What are 5 words that describe you?

"Creative, Loyal, Kind, Dreamer, Relentless"
Why did you decide to act?
"I had grown up with acting, and always had a fascination for it, so it kinda came really naturally to me. I’ve always had a creative way of thinking, and learned at a young age that memorization was a skill I grasped quite easily. It took me quite awhile to figure out that this was truly my passion because I had tried so many other things and found things I liked (basketball, gymnastics, soccer, & teaching), but none of these really made me want to wake up and be like “ok, let’s make this happen”, until I found acting. That’s when a light came on and I was like “ok maybe this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.”
What techniques do you use to create a believable character?
"To make a character come to life you really have to study up on them. I specifically will watch other actors play a character and then see if I can find an interview of them talking about playing that. It's a good look to see how I can improve." "Another approach is studying human behavior. Look at what describes your character and try to match a common behavior or emotion with them, it can make it easier to truly become that character."
How do you react when you receive a negative review about a performance?
"It always sucks to get that phone call from an agent or casting director and here you didn't get the role or gig. I would say I'm obviously sad about not doing well especially when you feel like you did. If that happens I actually try to take the time to ask what about my performance could be improved? There was this one production of Clue, I REALLY wanted to be apart of, so much so I would have played one of the male characters lol. I actually thought I didn't do very well in the initial audition, but I got a callback to try out for Mrs. Scarlett and Wadsworth. Although I didn't end up getting the part, I still improved with the directors advice and knew that after everything I did give my very best, even if I was a little hard on myself!"
Who do you consider to be your acting role model whose career would you like to emulate, and why?
"I feel very blessed to be able to observe so many talented actors and actresses. I would love to work with so many!"
"It's really hard to pick one but I would definitely have to say Millie Bobby Brown. She continues to inspire me and 1000's others to never give up on your dreams and to strive to do your best. It's cliché but she makes it unique. She has worked so hard for all she has and continues to accomplish so much! I would love to be in the same success path as her some day! I am lucky to work in the same field as someone who is so immensely gifted and seems so kind."
What do you do in your free time?
"I love researching all about acting. I mainly look up techniques and ideas on how to prepare for auditions. I use a website called Backstage, that allows me to apply and audition for acting & modeling gigs all over the country! There's something I WANT to consume from it everyday and I am constantly writing out goals for the week." (ie: apply to 20 projects, email a casting director or find a short scene and practice being on camera.)
